Is there any reason why some people with autism are screaming or making loud sounds?

I though they try to tell something what they fell, especially when they fell upset. Try to tell/ remind them every time, if they need something just let us know rather than scream. I try this way to my son every time, talked to him, give him an understanding, usually works. Just talked to them
I’ve found my child screams for 2 reasons.his inability to communicate (4 years old and mostly nonverbal) and because he’s either over or under sensory stimulated. It can be hard to handle, especially when we are in public with people that don’t understand, but most of the time people who know him can find ways to help him communicate more effectively or cope with the situation.
My sweet little 3 year old granddaughter has been screaming when she gets excited since she was able to make noise. Actually, it’s joyous though – not so much irritating. For her, it means she is happy and/or excited. I believe it has something to do with sensory overload. Autistic children have different sensitivities to sounds, touch, chaos, etc. The therapies used to help calm these little darlings include a brushing technique and weighted vests and blankets.
